Job Description
Security and Patrol Guards
Reporting to the General Manager or Supervisor on Duty, secure all gates, checking all incoming and outgoing vehicles for proper authority to enter or exit. Ensure all personnel entering the facility have proper authority and to secure and monitor entire facility after business hours in accordance with corporate and security guidelines policies and procedures. Perform all duties assigned by the General Manager or Supervisor on Duty. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide prompt and courteous services
Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work environment, must proudly represent Paragon Protective Services with prestige and dignity.
Make sure clients receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
Advise the General Manager or Supervisor on Duty of all serious complaints or incidences.
Inspect the fence line (if applicable) for indications of unauthorized entry or potential security risks.
Insure the offices, building and grounds are secured at established times. Note any security, safety or fire hazards.
Secure gates at established times and patrol property. Check for unlocked doors. Maintain radio contact with the Supervisor.
Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules and accounting from the General Manager or Supervisor on Duty. Maintain a good flow of communication with other personnel.
Recommend new customer services and procedures to the General Manager or Supervisor on Duty.
Monitor and control all facility conditions, vehicles, property and equipment within corporate standards for security and safety purposes.
Make sure that area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to the Manager immediately. Practice proper loss prevention and reaction procedures. Report all incidents properly and immediately.
Account for and identify all keys, codes or other safety or security information.
Maintain a current list of emergency and Management telephone numbers.
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
Prefer High School Diploma or GED with one (1) year security experience. Must have the ability to work various shifts, weekends and/or nights. Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid drivers license. Must be able to obtain or possess a Arizona Security Guard Card and CPR/First Aid Certification.
Physical Requirements:
The physical activity requirements of the position range from Light to Medium Physical Work.

Potential: running, jumping, yelling or other rapid or forceful
movement in emergency situations
Physical Working Condition:
This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
